Bat Control, Treatment, and Programs
Serving Northeast Ohio and Western Pennsylvania
Bats can pose serious health risks when they enter your home or business. They may come in contact with people, domestic animals and pets.
Believe it or not but some bat species are protected. So where does this leave you as a homeowner? There are some laws to follow and we are here to help. Expert Pest Management will remove bats humanely and legally. Here is how we do it. The first aspect that needs completed is a thorough inspection of the exterior of your structure. Our trained professionals will come to your house and look for all the holes the size of a golf ball or bigger where bats may enter. When an entry point is located, we will install a one way door, that allows the bat to exit the structure; but it cannot get back in again.
Expert Pest can prevent bats from entering homes and buildings without causing harm to the bats. If bats have already entered a structure we can remove the bats safely and then implement preventative measures to keep the bats from reentering your home or business. The goal of our bat services is to help preserve bats while protecting the health and safety of you and your pets.
Every case is different. Using a professional is the key to a successful treatment, that is why Expert Pest Management is here for you.

Evidence of Bats
If you suspect a bat or family of bats have moved inside your home or business, the telltale signs are easy to detect. Normally, you will be able to hear the bats flying inside your attic or moving within the walls. Seeing the bats flying to or from your home is also a good indication that they have nested within your structure.
You may also notice a smell of ammonia or find bat droppings (guano) inside or outside your home. Oily slicks may be found near crevices, these are where the bats enters and exits the structure, the bat squeezes into this small space leaving a black oily mark. These are major indicators that you have a bat infestation.
