Rodents can start fires in your home by gnawing on electric wires. They contaminate food and food prep areas with their urine, feces, and saliva. With contamination comes illness. Rodents are known carriers of over 35 diseases that can be transmitted to humans. For these reasons, it is best to seek professional help from an experienced, local pest control company.

Evidence of Rats
It is easy to tell if you have a rat infestation. You can hear them scratching, gnawing, or moving within your walls. You may find droppings around your food prep areas, on flooring, inside or under cabinets, or inside your pantry. Missing food is another sign of a rodent. Your pets may also react to these pests, especially cats.
Finding chewed up materials such as papers, insulation, and even clothing is another sign. Rats also chew on wires causing large replacement costs or even fires.
Rats have a distinctive ammonia smell that smells like stale urine. This odor can be especially noticeable in enclosed areas, such as pantries, cabinets, or drawers. The smell may also be along baseboards and walls where mice frequently travel; the odor helps them establish and mark their territory.
Lastly, if you actually see a live or dead rat inside your home, you most likely have an infestation.
Expert Pest Rat Program
Our service professional will begin your treatment on the interior finding all rodent nesting sites and runways, so please make access to all attic openings and if your door is sealed please have it unsealed.
Our service professional will inspect the exterior of your structure, targeting all entry points. At this time, the service pro will fill out an exclusion report documenting these areas.
We will automatically call you in 2-4 weeks to schedule your follow-up appointment. During the second visit, he will seal entry points along the foundation of your structure no higher than 4 feet and no bigger than the size of a golf ball.
After the follow-up and once all the necessary areas are sealed, your limited-warranty lasts 90 days and we ask that you wait 10 days for complete results. To help monitor activity, we ask that you clean up the rat droppings.
The follow-up visit is included in your initial quote.
Rat Trapping Program
Our service pro will come out and set traps in the interior and active areas within your home.
We ask that you check the traps daily and dispose of the rats. If you would like us to check the traps, it will be an additional $50.00 every day to come and remove the rats and reset the traps.
Otherwise the pro will come out every 2-3 days to re-bait and reset the traps. The last follow–up is where the pro will seal entry points along the foundation no higher than 4 feet and no larger than the size of a golf ball.
Our service pro will also perform a thorough inspection on the exterior looking for rat burrows. All rat burrows found within 4 ft from the perimeter of the structure will be baited. Any burrows that exceed 4 ft will be an additional zone and have an additional cost. $75.00 per 25×25 area= 30 minutes)
This program will not cover cockroaches, wood-boring insects, flying insects, pharaoh ants or biting insects.
